BCT Diaphragms

The Canton Reference 3 speakers encapsulate the musicality of their larger siblings, featuring BCT (Black Ceramic Tungsten) diaphragms for exceptional sound. A blend of aluminum and ceramic structures infused with tungsten offer an ideal stiffness-to-weight ratio. High-quality crossover components ensure that the four drivers blend seamlessly. Triple folded wave surrounds allow for increased dynamic performance, while 192 mm woofers deliver deep bass with help from the bass guide. The 174 mm midrange driver ensures precise localization, complemented by a 25 mm aluminum oxide ceramic tweeter.

Optimal Acoustics

Standing at 109 cm, the Reference 3 boasts an elegantly shaped cabinet with curved panels and an edgeless design. The base of the cabinet doubles as a bass guide, radiating low frequencies to the front and back of the room. Newly designed asymmetrical cover rings allow the drivers to sit flush without visible screws, doubling as waveguides for optimized sound dispersion. Completing the sleek aesthetic are a set of four acoustically neutral fabric grills. 

Enhanced Contacts

Reference 3 features premium WBT binding posts, allowing for single, bi-wiring, and bi-amping operation. With low-mass nextgen™ technology, these posts minimize eddy currents, enhancing sound quality. Included hard-gold-plated copper bridges facilitate single wiring for optimal performance if bi-wiring or bi-amping isn't preferred.

Premium Construction

Manufactured at Canton’s Weilrod factory, Reference 3 speakers boast stable multi-layer laminate cabinets, meticulously finished for durability. The high-gloss black variant undergoes a meticulous twelve-layer lacquering process, delivering an impeccable "piano finish." Alternatively, the white satin finish beautifully complements the matte black diaphragms for a striking aesthetic contrast.
