The Evo One's advanced streaming capabilities, enabling effortless listening through nearly any music service, are powered by Cambridge’s StreamMagic platform. This platform is also central to the company’s award-winning network players, such as the CXN100 and MXN10.

Room-Filling Sound

The Evo One features an impressive array of 14 drivers, including 4 x 1" silk dome tweeters, 4 x 2.25" aluminum cone mid-range drivers, and 6 x 2.75" long-throw woofers, arranged in front-, side-, and rear-firing configurations. This setup delivers an exceptionally wide sound dispersion and a truly expansive soundstage, ensuring that every seat in the room experiences exceptional audio quality without the need for a specific 'sweet spot.'

With 700W of Class D amplification providing 50W (RMS) per driver, the Evo One offers precise control over the audio output. Advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) allows for perfect tuning of the signature Cambridge sound, resulting in breathtaking clarity and deep, controlled bass that defies the limitations of its compact form.

The StreamMagic control app enables users to personalize their audio experience. A seven-band EQ allows for manual fine-tuning of the sound to an astonishing degree, while numerous presets cater to various music genres and TV-watching scenarios. Additionally, the app's room-optimization features allow for manual adaptation of the sound to suit individual living spaces.

As with all Cambridge products, the Evo One has been designed, tuned, and engineered at the company's London music venue and headquarters, Melomania, by the same dedicated team responsible for their award-winning hi-fi equipment.

Every Listening Base Covered

The Evo One is built around the fourth generation of StreamMagic, Cambridge Audio’s industry-leading streaming platform, ensuring seamless and stable listening across a vast array of services and formats. StreamMagic supports direct streaming from Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Deezer, Qobuz, Roon Ready, UPnP, and Internet Radio, with support for up to 32-bit/192kHz hi-res audio over Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Since Cambridge Audio owns and develops the StreamMagic platform, new features and services are regularly added to enhance and expand its functionality.

For maximum wireless flexibility, the Evo One offers Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, and Google Cast. It is fully compatible with Google Home, Apple AirPlay, and Roon multiroom systems, allowing music to be shared across devices throughout the home.

Wired connectivity is also well catered for. The HDMI eARC allows the Evo One to be connected to a TV, forming the foundation of a home entertainment system. A moving-magnet (MM) phono stage enables direct connection to a hi-fi turntable, while a line input accommodates other analog sources. Additional digital options include an optical digital input and a USB-A media socket.

While all of Evo One’s functionality is accessible via the StreamMagic app, the HDMI eARC connection allows for simple volume control through a TV remote. A dedicated remote control is also provided, ensuring complete ease of use for anyone in the room.

Continuing Evo One’s theme of unparalleled versatility, the large 6.8” color screen offers a choice between pure function and a touch of retro-chic style. Users can cycle through a clock display, album artwork and information for the current track, or enjoy the mesmerizing tick of virtual VU meters.

The Evo One also builds on Cambridge Audio’s commitment to sustainability, incorporating a minimum of 50% recycled material in its plastic parts, an FSC-certified wood veneer cabinet, and optimized power consumption.
