{"product_id":"audio-by-van-alstine-fet-valve-cfr-tube-preamplifier-1","title":"Audio by Van Alstine FET Valve CFR Tube Preamplifier","description":"The Audio by Van Alstine FET Valve CFR is an all-tube preamplifier featuring five line-level RCA inputs, two sets of line outputs, a tape loop, and an optional MM\/MC phono stage. Acting as the command center for reference audio chains, this component routes delicate signals with immense dynamic poise. While the moniker implies hybrid operation, the signal path remains purely thermionic, utilizing dual 12AT7 gain tubes and dual 12AU7 cathode followers while reserving solid-state FET regulation solely for the quiet power supply. The remote-controlled chassis also houses a dedicated headphone amplifier, switchable high and low filters for unruly sources, and a low-gain setting for high-efficiency loudspeakers.\n\nThe Absolute Sound honored the design with an Editors' Choice Award, with reviewer Dick Olsher praising its grain-free transparency, natural tonal richness, and neutral accuracy. Part-Time Audiophile celebrated the unit with both a Reviewers Choice designation and consecutive Best Preamplifiers awards. Critical coverage from Tone Audio and Home Theater HiFi further applauded its authoritative bass extension, wide soundstage, and exceptional channel separation.\n\nIntegrating this preamplifier into your system introduces an effortless sense of depth, delicate texture, and three-dimensional realism to every recording. Its balanced union of classic valve musicality and modern electrical discipline lets music breathe naturally, ensuring long listening sessions remain thoroughly engaging.","brand":"Audio by Van Alstine","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":67876140941593,"sku":"101316","price":1799.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0844\/4225\/1545\/files\/101316-6.jpg?v=1792621660","url":"https:\/\/tmraudio.com\/products\/audio-by-van-alstine-fet-valve-cfr-tube-preamplifier-1","provider":"The Music Room","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
