Product Highlights
System software version 1.51cm. Includes an Astell & Kern blue leather case, purchased separately by the original owner.
Critical reception and user impressions consistently praise the player for its authoritative dynamics, exceptional clarity, and organic tonal weight. Listeners highlight an expansive soundstage paired with pinpoint spatial imaging, where forward mid-range presence brings vivid texture and lifelike emotion to vocals and acoustic instruments. Astell & Kern’s longstanding reputation for peerless build quality is evident throughout, from the precision volume knob to the whisper-quiet noise floor that handles delicate in-ear monitors just as reliably as high-impedance loads.
Rather than tethering planar and high-impedance headphones to bulky desktop amplifiers, this player delivers true desktop-class authority in an all-in-one chassis you can take anywhere. Its ability to transition effortlessly from a reference portable player to an audiophile preamplifier makes it an indispensable cornerstone for anyone who demands studio-level mastery wherever they choose to listen.
