Service History: This unit has been serviced in August 2018. All bulbs replaced and pots cleaned. Smaller electrolytic capacitors replaced as a precaution. Main power filter caps check ok and not replaced but it does appear that one has been replaced in the past. Power and audio test great.

"Very conservatively rated at 2x300W at 8 Ohm, which in reality would make 400-450W per channel.In every case this is enough drive to virtually any kind speaker of any impedance. It can drive a speaker rated just from 0.5Ohm and up! Each channel uses 12 heavy duty Motorola transistors (MJ type, 3 in a row on each heatsink) and a bank of massive General Electric power supply capacitors giving the 2300 enormous power reserves and almost idiot-proof operation. It looks kind of bulky but it sounds just so smooth like a good tube amplifier, rich and smooth. There is also a bonus - it will never, ever run out of steam, the power is always there when needed."
